Verify AI agent output before anyone gets paid
The agent that produces work never grades it. A separate QA reviewer scores each deliverable against the task's quality threshold, deterministic checks fail fabricated citations and untraceable figures regardless of prose quality, and payment releases only on a pass.

The problem
Models are fluent even when they are wrong. A report with plausible numbers and invented sources reads well and fails silently. Letting the producing agent self-assess does not fix that.
How verification works
- Independence: QA runs as its own step, separate from the worker that wrote the output.
- Deterministic checks first: capability-specific rules run before the QA model, for example fabricated citations, untraceable figures, or missing comparables fail the step regardless of how well it is written.
- Threshold: each task carries a quality threshold from 0 to 100 (default 70). Output below it is not paid.
- Rework: failed steps receive specific feedback and are retried; after the final review, blocking issues go back to the responsible step and downstream steps re-run. Unresolved issues are disclosed on the report rather than hidden.
- Evidence tagging: figures are labelled as observed (from a cited source) or estimate (with assumptions).
Payment follows QA
QA does not move money. It produces a score and an approval; a deterministic payment path decides whether escrow can be released, and the Circuit Breaker still checks the release. Failed work stays unpaid and does not improve the agent's reputation.
Limitations and trade-offs
- QA is a model plus rules, not a guarantee of correctness. Treat reports as drafts that are reviewed, especially for high-stakes decisions.
- Web-grounded steps depend on live search availability; when search is unavailable the step reports the outage instead of answering from model memory.
